This year's Schedule has been set!

2020 Critmas Schedule:

Nominations Open - 10-01-2020

Nominations Close - 10-16-2020 (11:59pm EST)

Sign Ups Open - 10-17-2020 (4pm EST)

Sign Ups Close - 11-03-2020 (11:59pm EST)

Assignments Go Out - no later than 11-05-2020 (11:59pm EST)

Assignments Due - 12-23-2020 (11:59pm EST)

Works Revealed - 12-31-2020 (10pm EST)

Creators Revealed - 1-7-2021 (around noon)

This means that you have until November 3rd to get in your Critical Reroll gifts if you defaulted on last year's exchange after the no-penalty deadline. or if you defaulted on the last two rounds in a row, and want to be able to participate this year.

For those who defaulted on the past year after the no penalty deadline, or those who defaulted twice in a row, you'll need to post a 750 word fic or 1 Completed art piece [in any medium or style, on unlined paper or equivalent of at least 4"x6" and should not exceed 11"x17" size in a med to high res (ppi)] for one of the previous year's request prompts. You must also be sure to mind the DNWs from the prompt you use.

The collection is moderated so that I can keep track of defaulter postings, so done worry if you're gift doesn't show up right away.

All current PHs have been claimed and we are currently on track to open the collection on time on the 1st (around 1pm EST).

The collection has now been reopened for the posting of PHs and Treats.

If you’d like to create more treats for the collection and want to be sure the Critmas love gets spread around a bit, here is a list of those who are currently Treatless, you can find their requests (and everyone else’s) in the Requests Summary section of the Collection. I will try to keep this up-to-date as treats come in.

Your admin had some internet issues so you got some extra time, but the Deadline has now passed. The Collection is currently closed while behind the scenes admin things happen. It will reopen for the posting of treats and pinch hit assignments once post deadline pinch hits have gone out.

This is your yearly reminder that the Deadline is almost here! There are about 34 hours until assignments are due! If you need to default please do so as soon as possible so that a pinch hitter can be found and given as much time as possible to create a gift. If you need to request an extension please let us know. Any assignments that have not been fulfilled and who we’ve not heard from regarding an extension will be auto-defaulted once the deadline passes.

This is just a reminder that the “No penalty Default” period has passed and that you have just over One (1) week until assignments are due.

Remember that your assignment must be posted to the A03 collection and must be complete, fulfill all applicable minimums, fulfil one of your recipient's requests, and not include any DNWs listed on your recipient’s sign-up form in order to count. If you need assistance with how to post your work to A03 for the exchange, just let us know.

Just a little clarification in case there was any confusion;

You are only required to write one story or create one art piece for your assigned recipient. You may write that story/create art for any of their “fandoms” (even if it’s not the fandom you matched on).

If you find yourself inspired by other prompts you are absolutely welcome to write/create additional treats (for either your main recipient or anyone else who signed up and made a request that caught your eye), but they aren't required.

The only requirements to fulfill your assignment are to write 1 story or create one art piece in one requested fandom, using one of that fandom’s requested characters or group of characters while not writing or creating anything containing any of your recipient’s listed DNWs.

Please wait until Friday, November 8th for unfinished/Placeholder or locked letters to be updated before seeking mod intervention.

The No Penalty Default Deadline this year is December 16th.
